On April 4, 2025, we launched the Latin American Trade Association of Canada (LATAC). An organization bringing together and empowering the next generation of Latin American entrepreneurs, innovators, and

changemakers in Canada.

 

Our inaugural event at Metro Hall Toronto, was followed by an exclusive reception at the Scotiabank Arena in a private suite during a Toronto Raptors game. Our inaugural event brought together a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, government leaders, and international consulate representatives, all united by a vision of collaboration, innovation,

and shared opportunity.

 

At LATAC, we’re bridging the gap between the Canadian market and the diversity in opportunity that Latin America has to offer. We are bridging markets, making cultural connections, shaping impact.

The event featured inspiring speeches from a distinguished lineup of leaders: Camila Gonzalez (National TV Host/Producer), Muriel Françoise López Silva (Latin American Heritage Month Lead Consultant), MPP Sheref Sabawy (Parliamentary Assistant to the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism), María Alejandra Guardado (LATAC Director of Communications & Outreach), Karina Rodríguez (General Consul of the Dominican Republic), Shawn Allen (President of CACBTA), Luis Briceno (President of the Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce), Jan Edward Woolford Carles (General Consul of Panama), Jose Lemus (LATAC Lead Consultant), Bryan Nunez (CEO, Global Wisdom), Miguel Anthony Khan (Entrepreneur and Executive Producer), Herman Venegas (Financial Advisor, Edward Jones), Someyita Bictogo (Senior Relationship Manager, Export Development Canada), and Andres Ramirez (Founder of LATAC & solproperties.com).
